Those who acquire citizenship later or by birth by going through certain processes in Canada can apply to the Canadian Ministry of Immigration and Citizenship to obtain a Canadian passport. A Canadian passport can be issued for 10 years for adults and 5 years for children.
Application form, citizenship/birth certificate, passport photo taken within the last 6 months and passport fee can be applied in person or by mail.
When applying for a Canadian Passport, 2 adults who have known the applicant for at least 2 years must be a reference, family or home Guarantor to provide identity confirmation.
