Visitor Record

This document is issued as a separate document by the Canadian border officer or the Canadian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (IRCC) itself, to extend or restrict the 6-month stay of tourist visa holders at each entry. Persons wishing to extend their stay in Canada can submit their requests to the border police upon entering the country or to the IRCC upon entry.

Visitor Record
Persons whose tourist visas have expired within Canada can extend their stay without having to leave the country. This document is called the Visitor Record. This document is also a way for those who lost their status as a student or worker in the country and do not have a valid tourist visa. In order not to fall into an illegal status, individuals can make this application if they wish, before obtaining a new work or study permit.
